Curlew(Numenius arquata)

Saw this Curlew have a thorough wash, which is why he is wet, then have a poke about in the mud and then he decided to come over and have a good look at me-see extra photo! It was quite bizarre, he was not in the least bit scared, I suppose this comes with visiting the same spot every day!
