The first time you see the big blue

The first time you breach the dunes at Balmedie and see the big blue stretch forever is amazing, or so I think it must feel, I can't remember, that's lost in the mists of time for me. But today was Max's first time.

Woah, that big blue roaring thing froths up to get you and is wayyy scary. And cold. But sand! Oh sand! You can dig in it and cover the humans standing behind you before they realise what's hit them. Beach is good, water is weird, sand is awesome.
