Work in Progress

An early trip in to Bishop’s Stortford this morning for a few bits and pieces, we stopped for coffee, but no cake, although my husband devoured a cheese and ham toasted pannine in Sainsbury’s café. The only gluten free items they have in their café are chocolate brownies or cherry Bakewells; neither are very appealing at that time in the morning! Even their hot chocolate has wheat flour in it so as usual in their café it was just coffee for me.
 
What did I do this afternoon? Not a lot, although I did sort out all the bird and cat food, before the new delivery arrives from Amazon next week. I also started preparing shallots for pickling; it must be that time of the year again.
