I visited the Pethybridge gardens this morning. It is a small but delightful rose garden - the roses are budding and there is a wealth of other flowers as well. Either side of the entrance to the garden is a bed of poppies with a row of irises in flower behind them.
It was a cold, grey drizzly day today and I think the lack of sun helped make the colours stand out. This is straight out of camera with just a wee crop and a sharpen.
It was a cheerful riot of colour - I defy anybody to feel sad while looking at these.
