AVE to Madrid

The AVE train....Alta Velocidad Española .....high speed train....took us the 425 km from Alicante to Madrid in 2.5hours today.......a very smooth and pleasant service!
Today's Blip shows the rolling plains of the meseta.....the high plateau of the interior of Spain.....taken from our carriage window.

From the Atocha Railway station in central Madrid, there was a dedicated yellow airport bus....running every 15 minutes....to all the Airport Terminals, for flat rate price of 5€.....very efficient! ....and easy to negotiate with our luggage.

Tomorrow morning we'll be flying across the Atlantic........I have a feeling that the temperatures at our destination will be lower than we have been enjoying at home, on the Mediterranean!
