Friday: Vicki and Anjoum

We met up with Vicki and Anjoum this evening.  Vicki is my friend (and colleague) and, her partner, Anjoum, is currently here visiting.  Ordinarily, he lives in Karachi where he is a very successful architect (he is frequently teased because any google search of his name comes up with the phrase 'the renowned architect') so they spend a lot of time travelling to meet up in various places.  It's always nice when he is in town.

We started in 'Ro and Do' and have promptly decided that we shan't be going back there.  It may have a good beer selection but the guy who runs it is too irritating - he spends too much time being mine jovial host and not enough time actually serving beer.  You could die of thirst there while he jokes around.  Anyway, no matter, since, as K. and I walked down we passed a place that is opening tomorrow called 'Craft Room' - we asked whether it was anything to do with craft beer.  'Yes' was the enthusiastic reply.  Over 150 types of beer and 12 on tap.  We shall be reporting from there soon!

We then dinner at the 'Royal India Restaurant' - it's the first time we had food in Croatia that was too spicy for me!
