Deer Field

A day of getting jobs done but really enjoyable as I wasn't at work (!) and I had time to sit and rest between things.  One of my more satisfiying tasks was putting up some canvases on my living room wall - of photographs I have taken of Scotland and Hampshire.  Rain was forecast for later in the afternoon so after lunch I popped out for a walk up on to the heath and along the old Longmore Railway.  The light levels are very low today but the autumn colours were really vibrant.  This is a view from the railway line.  I like the way the grasses stretch from the foreground all the way in to the distance.  In the summer I used to watch deer grazing in the field as the sun was setting.
