Deploy landing gear

HH has been fighting a cough and cold, and neither Vitamin C nor Whisky Macs have knocked it on the head, or prevented me from catching it.  His does seem to be retreating, but I’ve been streaming, coughing and sneezing all day. Still, HH got to the golf club and hit some balls – not well, apparently, but it’s the first attempt after his stint in hospital. And I finally finished making the wretched jam. At least it seems to have turned out OK. AND I defrosted the freezer (if you ignore a cold and do silly things, it has to go away, right)? I also turned out the cupboard we keep sheets in here, to take down to Rio. Now what do I replace it with….?

The birds woke me very early and I resisted for as long as possible, but then had to sneak out with the camera. I couldn’t get close to the birds without the dogs seeing me from the run and starting to bark, so all the shots are a bit blurry. I was so happy, though, to see that the wrens are nesting in the box we cleared out and hung back up when we redid the roof. At that time, we discovered why it hadn’t been used for a while – all four compartments were completely blocked up with the remains of years of nests. I don’t mind being woken at 5 a.m. if it’s a wren that’s doing the shouting.
