Light at the end of the tunnel

Woke and for a few minutes had totally forgotten England had crashed out of the euros, and also forgotten what it's like not to wake up to the sound of rain!

A pleasant morning, and a good couple of days forecast, made a nice start to the week.

Worked from home today as lots of reports to get done by the week end, month end. Half year is always a busy time at work, can't believe it's here already.

All the best laid plans and I didn't get half as much done as I needed to, still a good day overall.

Finished at 5, and had beaut sirloin steak and salad for tea. Off to 49 for the evening shift. Loads of stuff to do there before Friday and carpet fitting day. Painted doors, radiators and skirting boards. Finished at 9, and as I wandered up Barber Street I sensed the glow of the sunset behind me.

Home and a glass of rose sat outside, relaxing and watching the late night flights overhead en route to east mids....thinking soon I'll be alcudia bound!
