Spotted pardalote

Not a bird I see very often, which is a shame as they are so pretty. This one (a female I think) was taking a drink from my bath tub pond. The metal grid "anti-dog (Lucy)/fish & frog eating bird protector" has proven very useful for the smaller birds, as a support while they drink and bathe in the pond. (The big birds have a wheelbarrow provided for their bathing needs!) See the extra photo to see how clever this little pardalote is at hanging upside down and drinking!
