Karpas Peninsula, N. Cyprus

We explored the Karpas Peninsula today, looking at ruins, churches and searching for the wild donkeys. This image looks down onto the Golden Sands Beach on the south side of the peninsula- a view popular in N. Cyprus travel books and leaflets, but I have taken it into the sun for more drama. It was a long drive but worth it and we did find some of the donkeys for which the National Park here is famous.
