Hello from number 10!

Today has been a very productive day.  Due to the clocks going back I got an extra hour in bed which was much needed.
Off to the house with Stu where we were meeting my Dad.  He called to tell us not to start mixing mortar as he had been and bought a cement mixer!  Half an hour was spent assembling it but Stu and Dad seemed very excited about their new toy which is going to come in very useful over the next few months.  They then proceeded to fit the new concrete lintels in the two front bedrooms.  It was very stressful watching them do this but they did an amazing job!

I started taking the ceiling tiles of the ceiling in the main bedroom and my dad finished it making it look a lot easier than I was finding it. 
We had the pickup again so did another run to the tip and had a good tidy up.
The picture is me waving from the front bedroom.  Most people have to wave through windows but not us - we have missing bricks.  Stu discovered the loose brick when taking plaster off the wall.  The brick moved forward nearly falling on his car which was parked bellow.  Luckily he caught it just in time.
Even with missing bricks I still love our house!
