The Past has been Bottled, and Labelled with Love

Several years ago, we holiday'd in Cornwall.

We did the beaches, we did the Minack Theatre, we did the Smugglers, we did the Eden Project and we did museums.  But the thing we loved the most was the cider farm.

The most amazing cider produced, and ales, and then... the clotted cream teas.     We visited three times in the space of a fortnight :-)   Boy drank tea, because he said "A cream tea isn't a cream tea if you aren't drinking tea".

We have oft looked at the apples in the garden and pondered the cider making skills.   Since we have in the past month made Chutney, Crumble, Jam and .... there was something else... I can't remember, Si decided to go for it today.

He had been waiting for the apples to fall, and after the winds this week, we expected a whole lot more to fall - but they hadn't.  This bag, is the bag he pulled from one tree.  A whole lot more than he expected.

He had expected to make maybe a pint of cider - as it stands, we have 3 gallons of cider fermenting in the front room.

Come Christmas.... i think we're gonna have a bit of a scrumpy time.
