Shopping Spree

Today was the day that for months hubby had been waiting for!! He loves watching movies and was so impressed by the standard of HDTV whilst on honeymoon that he has wanted a big HD TV. He has been busy doing his research during the week but today was the day we took our wedding present money to the shop to actually purchase it!!
There is so much to take into account nowadays with regard to HD v Ultra HD, Picture quality in Hz, PQI or PMI, Smart TV or not, Wifi or not … oh the list goes on!! Finally with the advice of an excellent salesman and the evidence of our eyes we settled on the Sony one (with free sound-bar!!) and also a Blu-ray player. After the painful payment session (!) and transport home it was over to hubby to set it up. He had a whale of a time opening the boxes and connecting everything up. He’d just got to the exciting bit of switching it on when we had to go out to panto rehearsal (oops!).
We had a pirate afternoon concentrating on their scenes and running them through and perfecting pieces of action. It was good to see ideas start to come through and the actors getting into their roles (especially the Dame Croc – a new actor to the group!!). It’s always quite tricky at the beginning as actors do not know their lines so are busy concentrating on reading rather than getting into character … but it is early days!! (see extra -photo)

Hubby was keen to get back home to play with the TV and was really pleased with a film that was playing on a channel and he loved the quality of it!! Oh he’s going to turn into a HD geek!! Think he’s off out to buy a Blu-ray DVD tomorrow ….!!
