Birds love Budle Bay
Heading down to Alnmouth for the weekend and we took the coastal route. Stopped at Budle Bay where several birders with gigantic cameras were lining the roadside. I wondered if some unusual rogue bird was on the loose here (a stork soaring over the sands, a penguin poking about the puddles) but then I saw the vast amount of our own native birds enjoying this place and I realised that it was a great spot for a bit of nature watching. I felt a bit out of place here with my vastly smaller lens but I like this photo well enough nevertheless!
