Over the past four weeks we have had two surprise visits to the hospital. Two weeks ago Mr DV was admitted with chest pains and he was wired up to all sorts of things overnight but eventually was given the all clear - a great relief!

Last night it was our son who was rushed in with suspected appendicitis, having had a really horrible afternoon. By the time they saw him he was looking and feeling a bit better but they did loads of tests and then decided to keep him overnight too! Today he had lots of different tests but he has been sent home and they now think it was a viral infection! Relief again...!

We are all pleased he's home - he wasn't too thrilled with his overnight stay, although we couldn't fault his treatment. It's good to see the slippers in use again even though he is far from his usual self. A rather subdued Captain Charisma. I think some TLC is called for! There will be an armistice on nagging about Uni work until a future date!

As for me - I'm just the one who sits beside the bed!! Why am I so exhausted?
