The first of many!  The journey went pretty smoothly and although we didn't get much sleep as soon as we got to Venice we were buzzing.  So much to see everywhere you looked.  Got to our apartment which was great - in Cannaregio, a perfect location.  After exploring and picking up some supplies from a supermarket (were like kids in a sweetshop - bit different from the Co-op in Tobermory) we went and had our first Spritz and one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten in a restaurant on the Fondamenta Nuove.

The extras are of waiting for our first vaporetto, looking towards the causeway that links Venice to the mainland, stickers and graffiti (wonder if the artist ever got an invitation!), and a view from our apartment window of Venice rooftops.
