Ancient presence

From its commanding position at the cross roads in the centre of the village St Nicolas Church has stood watch over us for a millennium. The trees now yellowing in the autumn have been planted since we came to the village and have matured nicely.
It was so warm today that I went shopping and to the library without a coat!
