Cherries in October?!

After book club this morning, I took the scenic route home, in search of some more autumnal colours. At first glance I really did think that these luscious fruits were cherries, but the people in the know tell me that they're 'Gorgeous' Crab Apples. Whatever they are, I think they make a lovely colourful display, especially with the golden leaves as a backdrop...
