Tiny Tuesday
There were still a few slow moving critters around this morning at Meadowlark. This tiny long-legged fly let me take shots of him for quite a while, which was a good thing because it took many attempts to get this one good shot.
As I have mentioned before, last winter I joined a camera club. This particular one appealed to me because they have a guest speaker on a variety of photography topics once a month. They also have monthly competitions, and I have found listening to the judge critique the entries to be a great learning experience. Last night was the Wildlife competition and I finally worked up enough courage to enter a few images.
In the digital category, my very happy Grasshopper couple won second place. In the color print category, my single curious grasshopper won second place and my Sumatran Tiger won first place.
Needless to say, I am feeling pretty pleased with myself and probably won’t be fit to live with for a while. I was also very satisfied that I was able to print the images myself and get the visual results I wanted.
I have added an extra of the beautiful fall colors at Meadowbrook Botanical Gardens this morning. They are just about at peak.
