The one chance

You can tell from the shot what sort of day it was in North Yorkshire. And it stayed misty, murky and dank all day. This was really the only opportunity all day as after this I was inside for the day where mobile phones and many other items are not permitted.

This was the last day of our trip up north and the reason we stayed an extra two days was so that I could be at a meeting inside a prison. Not one I've been to before. It's always interesting but on this occasion very depressing to be inside. Pretty much everything was grey apart from bits of grass, made even greyer by the lowering sky.

However, the meeting went well and I was out by 3.30pm for a quick dash over to Harrogate to pick up Susan for the trip back to Kent. Fortunately it was a good journey, with no holdups, but I have to confess I didn't really notice it getting dark!

Arrived home at 9.30pm quickly unpacked, put things away and generally tidied up. Nice to be home.
