Nuremberg parade grounds

Today we went to visit the parade grounds where the Nazi party held their huge rallies. 
A lot of what was planned for the site was not finished due to the war. The bits that remain have been deliberately allowed to become shabby and dilapidated.  See first extra photo for weeds growing where Nazi VIPs would have sat. 
The parade grounds are used for festivals and other events that would meet with Nazi disapproval. A museum of Nazi history is in one of the nearby buildings.
The main picture is of the place where Hitler stood. I wasn't sure whether to stand up there or not, but eventually I did. It was a very strange experience.  The second extra photo is of the view from there.
