My little pumpkins

Today we went pumpkin picking with nana and pops! We had a great time. It had been raining all morning so the field was extremely muddy. The children thought it was great and couldn't wait to jump in all the puddles! A fell over within about 5 minutes so I soon abandoned any plans of keeping them clean and dry, so just let them go for it! A was in his element and loved every second. Especially when he managed to splash me too!

P helped pops to find some good pumpkins and then made our way back to the farm shop. We saw a variety of different squashes. I never knew they came in such a variety of shapes and colours. The kids had a play in the play area and had fun throwing a stick for the farm dog. Whist nana and pops were shopping and P was on the swings with another little girl she had befriended, I took A for a ride in the wheelbarrow. He loved it and kept asking me to go again, again and faster, faster...giggling all the way!

Children went straight for a bath when we got home and all clothes in the wash. We then enjoyed a warm drink, a slice of pumpkin pie and set about carving out pumpkin (with lots of help from a very artistic pops)
