This afternoon was the re-run of Emma's school sports day (well at least the lower years). In contrast with last Friday's monsoon downpour just as the games started, today brought warm sunshine for the whole afternoon. Here is E carrying the Olympic flame:)) as she ran a relay race. She just couldn't help herself from doing a little dance and jig for her dad's camera!
She managed to score goals in the footy game and she had a 100% record in the bean bag throwing event, however despite her valiant one-person effort, her blue team came fourth out of four.
While the children went away to get changed, the chair of the PTA roped me in to help set up the hall for tomorrow's big sort-out of stuff ready for the Summer Fayre on Saturday. It felt like old times as I was a chair of PTA for many years at a different school - oh, and chair of Governors too. Too much power in one persons hands methinks!
On top of all that, Ofsted arrived this morning for a 'light touch' inspection. I'm not sure the teachers feel that any inspection is light.
