Raindrops
Yesterdays' blip was the beautiful sunrise I'd woken up to. Today's is far more seasonal and this morning I was greeted by raindrops and grey skies when I opened the curtains.
That said, I do think that raindrops have an appeal all of their own when captured at the correct angle. The 3D effect of the drops running down the windowpane means a day of snuggles on the sofa, candles lit and a cup of tea with a good book. It also means that we can crack out the hearty stews, casserole and soups and enjoy the indulgence of fresh, crusty bread dripping with butter and not worry about the extra calories.
To me, autumn heralds the arrival of cosy jumpers, hats and gloves, bonfire night and roaring fires. Put like that, I think this really IS the season to be jolly.
