Today's the day ........................... to change colour

They say that to see the best autumn colour you have to go to 'New England in the fall' - but I reckon that Deeside would have given them a run for their money today.  Once the sun had appeared round about midday - the reds, oranges, yellows, browns and green in the trees and bracken - were absolutely stunning.  This is a view looking towards the distinctively-shaped hill of Benachie.

We ended up the day at Castle Fraser as shown below, one of the many grand baronial tower houses of Deeside that look as if they have come straight out of a fairytale.
