Today's the day ....................... for a treasure hunt

We've had lots of fun today helping Will with his birthday present this year from Ron and Margaret.

It was a specially written Aberdeen 'treasure hunt'  - with clues to follow that would take you round the city centre.  There were questions asked that you had to find the answers to.  And of course, this involved a bit of detective work - and a lot of looking around at buildings, signs and other architectural features.

Most of places we've been led to today have been quite new to us - in spite of the fact that we thought we knew Aberdeen quite well.  But the clue that led here was solved immediately.  These are the feathers of the Prince of Wales pub right in the heart of the city - and the setting for many a good student night-out back in the '70s.
