to Start a New Woodpile

Its that time of year again.....

I have been collecting timber all year and it is time to start getting it in to some order.

I have been burning timber for many years now and one would think that I should know quite a lot about it.

However I have recently had an expert come and have a look at my chimneys because there is a problem with condensation.

I could have been doing things better because the flues in the chimney are actually slightly too large for the stoves.

So in a fortnight we start on the next major job to have the flues re-lined and insulated.

Oh, and I was also reprimanded for having the wrong sort of cowl on the chimney pot...
