Today has been spent doing copious amounts of washing, carving a pumpkin and waiting for a friend to arrive with the loan of a fox trap.

This was last year's, not totally dissimilar pumpkin.

Poor, poor Jack is looking just dreadful (extra photo) - the trap is set, and I have to resist feeding the foxes in the hope Jack will be driven into the trap by hunger. I hope so.
