BAD APPLE

We all know that Apple make marvellous computers, sleek, fast, cutting edge machines that are a delight to use, shame I can't say the same about their MagSafe connectors, three years old and the wire has snapped where it enters the adapter, poor design is the fault as far as I can tell, there's no thing to stop this thin wire from twisting away when you carry the plug about so now I've a MacBook that I may as well use as a tea tray! Went online, Apple, £65 for a replacement, I don't thinks so, managed to find one on eBay for £17.99 but will have to last two days without it, how will I cope...by using my iMac (proper plug on that but a bit awkward to fit under my arm) or trusting everything to the phone.
