Mona
Mona is one of six dogs on the farm. In my eyes, she's one of the best, if not the best. Because Mona is just a dog, and she's happy being just a dog. She chases the right things (wildlife, not staff), she likes a fuss but keeps her distance (unlike others, one too close, the other too aloof), and she is just a happy dog, for that, she deserves her own picture of the day. This is her in the damn this morning cooling off after our morning walk.
Today, I am very much the wife, and mother. I've walked four dogs, fed cattle, cooked dinner (yes, ahead of time, just so organised today), almost finished blind number two, cleaned a car seat, entertained the boy (of course), cleared up two lots of sick - one dog sick and one baby sick. I now have a third lot to clear up as he has been sick whilst on my knee. And I have talked cattle tactics with my husband after one of the latest lot didn't do as well as we had wanted.
The list of things I haven't done today is far more interesting than the list of things I have done, but making a felt mobile for the boy, making the Christmas cake, finding Christmas cards, sorting images for the website and many other things are on the never-ending 'to do list'. In the mean time, it's back to the bathroom to clean up more baby sick, which at least isn't very offensive.
