Here's looking at you...

We got up this morning to torrential rain - never easy to get motivated in that - so after a lazy start it was quite late when I headed down to the office. The sound of the rain thrumming on the roof was quite hypnotic - but I managed to get a little bit done before the phone call to tell me that Pooch was back from her holidays. 
Whilst we're very very glad to know she loves going away to her foster home - it is nice to see how happy & excited she gets when the pack is back together again too.
I couldn't resist the wagging tail & big eyes - so one of us donned waterproofs & headed out - and as if by reward the rain gradually eased off. Walking pooch along our lanes with their SSSI 20-30ft deep verges usually startles up some wildlife - but today it was a lot of pheasants - I think a new breeding ground must be being developed  - so lots of sqwacking and comically running pheasants - except this one who just kept an eye on us.
