Aurora

Yesterday's storm died down in the evening, so we headed out in search of some clear skies and hopefully, some aurora.

We got lucky: despite the low forecast, the aurora showed up just past midnight for a magical half hour.

The actual day was spent dodging more showers to look at glaciers, lava boulders and an ethereal sunset back at the lagoon. (See unprocessed extra) However, a second attempt to view the aurora was thwarted by low cloud and rain, but at the time of typing, we are back at the hotel and keeping watch... :)
