Burgundy Iceberg

We have three lovely standard roses in our garden. They are Burgundy Iceberg and all three are smothered in buds at present. One solitary bud has burst into flower. I think it is a lovely colour and so very elegant.
Tomorrow morning (well after the big match) a car-load of camera club folk are heading to Okiwi Bay in Pelorus Sound. There we hope to photograph navy and army personnel rehearsing for a future landing of amphibious craft as part of Exercise Southern Katipo. It should be most interesting. And finally .... Go the All Blacks!
