Japanese Anemone

A really busy day in the garden today so an emergency blip of the Japanese Anemone which has been flowering for some time now with  lots of buds still to open too.
It's been a super sunny day, and warm too, t-shirt weather in fact.   My son cut the top of my conifer hedge and helped me thin out another mixed hedge, just a few more feet to go and all the hedges will be neat and tidy, thank goodness.   After he left I raked up the leaves, I know there will be as many down again tomorrow but it felt satisfying to rake them up dry, which made it so much easier and I was able to get a lot more in the bin and bags.
