Come into my parlour !!
Having inadvertently offended a cow yesterday I decided to pick something closer to my own size this time.
This poor little chap was zipping back and forth early this morning, desperately trying to repair his wind damaged web, to catch some breakfast.
He was only about 2mm across at most and very industrious.
I do feel sometimes that spiders can be quite unfortunate as they are produced by their spider parents and then build a superb web nearby, sometimes in an area where it is clear that no flying sustenance is likely to come by. If you come back a week or two later it will probably have starved.
Nature is quite un-sympathetic it seems.
Not that I am remotely a spider expert and I always feel sorry for any fly I see struggling in a web, as the spider approaches. It must be quite terrifying.
Think we will continue getting our food at Waitrose
