We hot-foot it up to London after work to go to a conference arrange by a friend's husband. As part of his phd, he arranged the first academic conference dedicated to the work of Siri Hustvedt. I'm a fan of her work, and had a great time listening to her speak on the complexities of the brain/mind, even if much of it did go over my head.
