Lock-In
Packed a lot in to today. I finally took the plunge and booked a short trip for one of our Olympic events that's impossible to complete in this country. I was waiting to receive my results before booking, but as the saga with that continues, and the need to commit with the club grows, I decided to go for it. Ellie and I then went and completed our final Rowing event on a grey and drizzly river Stour. Once I was back and dry, I went and met G and our London visitors in the pub where we kicked off a brilliant evening. After a few pints we met a couple of other friends and went for a long, lazy, drunken meal in the local tapas. It was so great. and really felt like we were on holiday. We rounded it off with more drinks in the local pub, where we were happy to take part in a lock-in; ill-advised shots and dancing round the pub. What a brilliant night!
