Sunny Afternoon
I awoke at 0700. When I looked out of my window I couldn't see the local surgery, which is only 100 metres away. I shrugged and went back to bed.
Four hours later I awoke again and the sun was blazing down out of a clear sky and yet there was still mist on the Chevin.
I went into town after a leisurely brunch of scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and the streets were full of people in T-shirts and summer tops, eating ice-cream and fish and chips; the gulls hadn't had it so good in weeks.
The Wharfe was like a millpond upstream of the bridge and so I took this pic.
As I post it, there is thick fog outside.
Here's an appropriate choon.
