Apres Le Deluge

It rained more than a little overnight.

Compare this pic with the previous one I took exactly two weeks previously. Quite a change, eh?

I was tempted to grab three hundred cubits of gopher wood, two of everything they had in the pet shop, loot the off-licence and take my chances.

The flooding was the worst I have seen since I came to live here: north of the river got the worst of it and the bridge was closed to vehicular traffic. Of course, we Otliensians came out to play Peppa Pig in the floodwaters.

I thought this was an appropriate choon.
