And the pace didn't slacken...
Thankfully the lift out was postponed, so Lidl, then dropped Tom at fitba, and then dropped G's phone back; and back across town to uplift Tom and lunch; then out to clothes shop.
As part of the Brave New World, I said I'd get them clothes so there was one less point of contact / debate, so off we trooped to Gap, M&S, Next, Primark and H&M. (The touching family group is us ascending the heights of the 3rd floor of Primark to see what nonsense we can find there)
So, hours later, with tired and grumpy but clothed boys (they weren't naked before we set off, oh no), we picked her up and all headed back to mine.
They slumped on the sofa and were too tired to even remember it was Halloween, despite watching bits of Addams Family, Scooby Doo etc
Which meant the grown ups hubg out in the kitchen and cooked (meatballs in goulash sauce for them - Tom's fave) and we had smoked salmon and goat's cheese and then fish and chips (home made) with garlic alioli and a tomato / basil thing too. Oh and marrowfat peas.
One by one the boys went to bed and we migrated to the sofa and had an hour of chat whilst bemoaning the lack of X Factor in any of the contestants on show.
