Brynmor Jones Library, University of Hull

I had 3 stupendous years in the fine city of Hull at University way way way back in time - and have been returning on and off ever since. Now my son is also there so we've had a grand couple of days visiting him and (for me) indulging in all my old haunts. Amazingly, by total coincidence, he lives next door to the house I lived in and drinks in the same pub - the magnificent St John's off Pearson Park - and sits in the same seat with his mates as I sat in with mine Fate is a pint of Hull Brewery Ale. We had a great meal on Newland Ave last night and stayed in the Old Grey Mare - wonderful.
