Montevideo

This is the capital of Uruguay. Though it doesn't have the capital city craziness vibe, it is home to 1/3 of the country's population.

We arrived yesterday just in time to watch the Wallabies play the All Blacks in the World Cup rugby final, unfortunately they lost but the New Zealander, Fernando we watched it with was great company! After the game we walked the promande along the river for hours with Ferando and his Swedish girlfriend Sophie.

Today we went to some local markets that lined many streets in a local suburb. It was huge and sold everything you can think of. Cam purchased a 2nd hand Hawaiian shirt to add to his collection. For lunch we demolished that ginormous cow rib you see on the pic at the mercado.

The evening was spent with new friends Hannah and Rod watching the sunset, listening to some hippies play in a band in the park. We then wondered the streets with a drum parade, box red wine in hand, a local occurrence every Sunday night which was cool.
