... another in my Back When series, and taken in 1955 on one of our many holidays at Middleton Beach in South Australia. Mum & Dad hired this shack which overlooked the ocean, and from the deck there, the slope down to the beach was pretty steep. The perfect setup for a quick trip in my billy cart to the beach!!

Notice on the verandah a pogo stick, had heaps of fun on that let me tell you.

The holidays were all R&R for everybody, and Dad being a keen fisherman, and shooter the dinner was normally supplied from the day's catch. Rabbits were always popular, and the whiting were I recall, quite a size.
