Special

This wee piece of music is special for two reasons: 1) its Katie's first exam piece that she's started to learn for the Initial Grade that she will take in Spring. 2) it's our first little duet piece that we will play together when we do our first music festival together in January. She likes it a lot. We were late leaving for school today because we spent so much time playing on the piano. I had my lesson this morning and our teacher gave me the second piece we will play in the festival. A really beautifully pretty piece that will challenge me, will have some learning for Katie but is very gorgeous. We are quite excited! 

Ballet after school tonight - from tonight she's moved up a group so will stay a little later, in preparation for this month's tap & disco exams. Consequently, we are basically not celebrating bonfire night tonight - we will do it tomorrow perhaps! She's not big on loud noises, big crowds and is still pretty tired from the half term chaos. I'm not sure a late night at the big town bonfire is a great plan!
