Mrs Dube

Mrs Dube, the zebra was chilling out as I walked past her this morning on our walk.  The zebra's are getting calmer around people and will let you pass within a few metres of you.  They are very protective of blind cow and her calf and generally where you see blind cow, you'll find the zebra's, it's quite sweet.

The boy is almost sitting up on his own, he can do it alone but leaning forward quite a bit, so we're still a little way off sitting straight up alone without someone hovering right close by ready to catch him as he gradually topples over.

Dirk is back from his cattle sales, with no cattle.  Seems the farmers in the communal lands - where he was buying - are somewhat over-optimistic about the value of their cattle. Turns out he rather enjoyed his trip and spent the evening with the other three guys buying at the sales enjoying good food, beer and whiskey, tough time out at these cattle sales.  Granted, he was camping out, however someone was employed to heat water for showers and it seems to have been a bit of a boy's own outing.  I'm sure in years to come, Alex will be out at the cattle sales with his Dad having a right old good time.
