But you're treating me tonight...

I cannot describe adequately the joy when I arrived home tonight.

I drove home in cloudy, dull but foostily warm weather. The type of weather that needs a thunder storm to clear it properly, but I doubt we are going to get one. I drove with the window open, and barely a breath crossed it.

As I drove past a field I noticed a large red plastic bag, bouncing across the grass, content in it's dance, and I wished I could have stopped, or manhandled my camera and the car with only two hands and snapped it, but safety first.

I pulled into the drive, and with the window open and smell caught my nose. Heavens, it was faint, but oh so good. I stepped out of the car, and my stomache let out a groan.... What a great smell. I stood and looked at the front door for minute, hoping that when I opened the door the smell would double, triple in sensory expectation and it would be mine all mine.

How disappointed would I be?

I opened the door and a rush of warm air came to meet me, and the delicious smell greeted me with a smile and wrapped its arms around me.

In the kitchen, browning in a pan, sausages and onions.

Does anything smell better?
