Edinburgh from Calton Hill

Another action-packed day and feeling much better although still off the alcohol. Very light drizzle first thing and the rest of the day has been dry, unlike the forecast.

A tour of the Scottish Parliament building, which I rather like from the outside and which exceeds expectation on the inside. The guide was excellent and held everyone's attention for the whole hour.

Next, we went over the road to look around the Palace of Holyrood before heading up Calton Hill where there's a view of the Firth of Forth, the city and the hills beyond including Arthur's Seat, which looked quite busy.

This is a view of Edinburgh looking towards the Castle.

Travel sickness tablets already purchased ready for our return journey tomorrow afternoon.
