Just Another Day At The Beach ...

It's hard to believe it's early November.  Today, we took BB to Crane Beach in Ipswich, a few miles north of Boston, for a long, sandy walk in the balmy 73 degree temperatures.

On the way to the beach, we stopped at the Clam Box in Ipswich and picked up a sinful picnic lunch of fried clams, onion rings, and coleslaw which we enjoyed as we perched on a big driftwood log, gazing out to sea.  Then we hiked from one end of the beach to the other (a considerable distance!) to  assuage our fried food guilt.  BB loved it!  The soft sand must have felt good under his paws. 

There were lots of people enjoying the place as much as we did -- horseback riders, dog walkers, little kids, and older folks hunkered down in their beach chairs with their blankets and paperbacks.
