The Artist Signs His Work

Today, we wandered down Newbury Street to buy a housewarming gift for some friends at Simon Pearce -- one of my favourite places for elegant glass, as well as beautiful wooden wares. 

I was really excited and pleased to learn that Simon Pearce himself was at the Boston store today, signing his pieces.  His son Andrew, who makes wonderful wooden bowls and cutting boards was also there to sign his work.  Somehow, we managed to come away with not only a gorgeous  glass piece to give to our friends, but also two pairs of glass candlesticks and a cherry wood bowl for ourselves!
